The Science Center is dedicated to helping innovators and entrepreneurs bring world-changing technologies to market. It is our vision to fuel and support discoveries that solve problems for the entire world, inspire and connect the next generation of scientists, and establish Philadelphia as a global innovation city.

Celebrating Immigrant Entrepreneurs

America was built on the twin bedrocks of immigration and entrepreneurship. And when immigration and entrepreneurship intersect, magic happens.

The Science Center honored an extraordinary group of immigrant entrepreneurs as we announced the newest class of the Innovators Walk of Fame at our Nucleus event in September 2017.

Innovation in Philadelphia is as diverse as its citizens. And the Science Center is committed to examining our region’s innovation story through different prisms that reflect this rich diversity.

The six honorees started their journeys in different countries. They represent different sectors: technology, engineering, science, social impact and the arts. Yet their impact transcends all boundaries.

They have created jobs, developed disruptive technologies, advocated for entrepreneurship — and made our region, and our world, a better place.
